Currently hiring for an Accounts Payable Specialist for a local printing company.
Employee is responsible for compiling and maintaining invoices and checks substantiating business transactions and analyzes data in resolving payment issues with vendors in a high volume, fast paced environment.
This is a temporary position to cover a maternity leave, but could go long-term based on business needs.
Job responsibilities include: - Enter vendor invoices with appropriate coding based on nature of expenditure and applicable project.- Monitor accounts payable aging report to ensure unpaid invoices are paid in a timely manner.- Communicate with vendors to resolve inquiries regarding invoices and payment status.- Keep track of credits owed to the company and ensure all credits are properly applied to vendor payments. - Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances. - Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions. - Analyze and prepare debit and credit memos as necessary. - Processes and assembles check documentation for mailing to vendors. - Process employee expense reimbursement request as well as manage monthly credit card report.- Assist in gathering and compiling data to generate monthly expense analysis reports as well as other reports relevant to accounts payable.- Assist in payroll preparation by reviewing time cards and paid time off requests.
Job requirements:- Associates and/or Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is preferred.- 1-3 years’ experience in Accounts Payables.- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.- Outstanding organizational and time management skills.- Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.- Ability to communicate with Managers, vendors, customers, and Accounting personnel in a professional manner.- Familiarity with general Accounting principles such as booking keeping, accounts receivable, and payroll.
Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm
Pay is $13.00 - $15.00 (depending on experience)
